Dr Mariano Spiezia: go organic – and laugh more

MEDICAL DOCTOR, HOMEOPATH AND HERBALIST, DR SPIEZIA, ON WHY EVERYTHING'S CONNECTED

Having been trained in Homeopathy and Clinic Phytotherapy as well as in Medicine and Surgery, I’ve been able to observe the functions of the human body from different angles.

My observations have totally confirmed Dr Hering (the doctor and homeopath who introduced homeopathy into the USA in the 1800s)’s law that ‘the vital energy within the body works from the inside to the outside in order to clear inner toxicity’.

The skin, then, is the last layer and represents an important detox organ in a holistic medical approach. When in Italy I ran a detox center for many years and, during that fascinating time, I saw how the skin participates in the detox action as it releases inner waste: the emunctory function. Well, after all this you will understand how fascinating this large organ is for someone interested in the wellbeing of the whole.

The formulations

The power of INLIGHT lies most importantly in the synergy between the individual ingredients. Other key factors are my medical expertise and our carefully designed manual production, including our herbal oil, the base of all INLIGHT products, obtained by infusing the selected herbs in oils.

The resultant herbal oil is extremely rich in beta carotene, antioxidants and pigments such as chlorophyll, as well as being packed full of vital energy. A special device I have designed myself gives the raw ingredients an extra energy spin, too!

It goes without saying that the final product is pure concentrated goodness.

Go organic

Organic is what Nature intended in the first place.

Being in touch with pain because of my work I have seen the strong connection between environment and health and the impact of the choices we make. Organic food for both inside and outside our body is the answer for a better and healthier body and planet.

After all, our body is our planet too, isn’t it? We can’t pollute the planet without taking into consideration that we are polluting our own lives. In fact, anything we do to Nature comes back to us sooner or later.

Oils with no water

Why would you dilute Nature? We don’t use any water in our products because water can only dilute the other ingredients and immediately evaporate. In all worldwide ancient traditions, oils have been used to protect, moisten and nourish the skin, the reason being that oils are very similar to the skin sebum, one of the components of the skin’s hydrolipidic layer whose function is to protect the skin from the outside.

Therefore oils are recognised both chemically and energetically by our body and interact positively with the other chemical compounds on our skin. The oils we choose – very rich in omega 3 & 6 – also have the ability to transport the beneficial ingredients of the herbs we use in our products and make them available to our skin.

On beauty…

Beauty is the expression of the whole, and the final result of a change in consciousness, or awareness, in our life and in our inner and outer body (skin). INLIGHT is the light from within; it is the radiant energy coming from inside which shines on our skin making you beautiful.

My advice, besides all the suggestions you get everyday from many other experts, would be: laugh more and leave your laughter-lines to me; think less ‘me, me, me’ and more ‘you, you, you’; learn to breathe well and always see the glass half full.
