Grow Wild has just launched a youth funding programme – Grow For It – and is looking for 12 to 25-year-olds who are brimming with creative ideas and are passionate about championing UK native plants, including wild flowers.

If you’re a young poet, filmmaker or designer who’s also interested in the great outdoors, what would you do to help raise awareness of the UK’s native wild flowers and plants?

Applicants with winning project ideas will receive £400 and their supporting group or organisation will also receive £100 to cover admin costs.

Funding for young people

The closing date for applications is 2 April 2015

Think wild, innovative and funky

While Grow Wild’s overall focus is the transformation of spaces, Grow For It projects can encompass more than sowing and growing.

‘Perhaps there’s a wall at your youth centre that is just crying out to be beautified with a wild flower mural. Or you’ve got a passion for writing nature-inspired poetry. Or maybe you have an idea for an animation highlighting the benefits of growing wild flowers.

Grow For It funding can be used to produce anything that communicates our message in a creative way, whether that’s a short film, edgy clothing design or wild flower cycle tour.’

Grow Wild

Grow Wild will fund 50 Grow For It projects across UK during 2015 and 50 more in 2016.
