The Year of the Tiger yoga mat by Liforme

Liforme has launched a special edition Year of the Tiger yoga mat in partnership with WWF, which aims to double the world’s wild tiger population by the end of the year.

5% from sales of the fierce orange, black and cream mats will go to WWF to support the charity’s tiger conservation goals.

The mat will come in three sizes – a full-sized mat (£135), a travel mat (£115) and a yoga pad (£55) – available here on preorder to mark Chinese New Year. A complimentary bag is also included with every mat.

Markers for alignment

The tiger stripes adorning the mat’s spine double as Liforme’s signature, intuitive and physiology-based alignment design, assisting solo practice by working as a navigational tool.

The combination of intelligent markers guides you to ensure your alignment is in check throughout.

The Year of the Tiger mat is the newest addition to the Giving Back collection of mats created in conjunction with one of Liforme’s charity partners.

To date, Liforme has planted more than  200,000 trees and donated over $500,000 to charity.

‘Every time we protect  a tiger, we protect around 25,000 acres of forest that sustains  wildlife and local communities with clean air, water and  products. So donations from our Year of the Tiger mat will aid  tigers and all endangered species, protecting rich and varied  ecosystems, to ensure that people continue to benefit from nature.’

Non slip, non toxic

Liforme has revolutionised the yoga world with its eco-friendly mats. The company’s GripForMe technology uses high-quality, non-toxic  and planet-friendly materials that maintain grip.

This development – five years in the making – represents a big leap forward from the slippy, non-degradable plastic mats, which could take hundreds or even  thousands of years to break down and contain toxic, harmful  chemicals.

Year of the Tger yoga mat

The specially engineered top surface actually wicks away moisture from your hands, so the more you sweat, the grippier your mat becomes – no more slipping in your Downward Dog!

A patented waterproof barrier layer prevents any moisture from making its way through the top surface and into the rubber base, making this mat hygienic and easier to clean.

Designed by yogis

Liforme products are designed by yogis, for yogis and are sold in more than 180 countries. The company’s global community of customers and business partners promotes a common goal to ‘Live For More.’

The company offers four collections of eco-friendly and body-kind mats, which are non toxic, PVC free and will biodegrade in normal landfill conditions within one to five years, effectively turning into fertiliser to nourish the Earth rather than poisoning it.

The mats remain the best-reviewed yoga mats of all time, scoring more  than 4.9* over thousands of reviews globally.
