Independent retailers all over the UK will be dishing up free organic mini breakfasts today (Weds 14 June) as part of this year’s Wake Up To Organic event, organised by the Organic Trade Board.
The aim is to show how easy it is to switch to an organic breakfast, and to showcase the fabulous range of organic food and drink that your local independent stores and cafés offer.
This year over 220 stores are participating (up from 70 last year), putting organic breakfasts into the hands of an increasingly interested public on the high street across Scotland, Ireland, England and Wales.

Some stores are organising events with local food bloggers, creating special recipes for the day and preparing them in store. Others will be inviting local producers to talk about their great products and the benefits of organic.
