Calling all ethical baby brands!

The Beauty Shortlist’s Mama & Baby Awards are back to shine a light on the highest-scoring clean, green ethical products for mums, babies, toddlers and children.

My Green Pod’s Katie Hill will once again join the judging panel to cut through the greenwash and put the products through their paces – with the help of Herbie (age one) and Vivi (age six).

A shopping list for new mums

Categories include natural beauty and baby care, pre- and post-natal products, natural skincare, hair and makeup, nappy balms, eco nappies, bathtime, mealtimes and playtime – plus practical accessories for new mums like changing bags and safety monitors, as well as natural supplements, nutrition and more.

Brands have until 30 April to enter – click here for more.  The winners and finalists will be revealed on Friday 24 June 2022.

A level playing field

Since 2013, the much-anticipated awards have featured The Beauty Shortlist’s expert-tested lineup of top-ranked natural, organic and planet-friendly baby products, plus beauty and wellness for mums.

Retailers, consumers and editors trust the awards to single out products of excellence and ethical brands through a proudly independent judging process.

‘Virtually everything a new mum and her baby would need will be on the new winners list, making it easy for parents to choose gentler plant-powered heroes that are kind to babies and our planet.

‘Because organic products are very much in favour, the natural and organic beauty and baby industry still faces greenwashing from brands wanting to edge their way into the ‘clean market’ but with products that are not natural or organic and do not belong in a baby’s bathroom.

‘The awards provide an expert-compiled guide to the best, tested, all-natural safe and gentle products for mums and their little ones, all by ethical brands – the products with trustworthy, transparent INCI/ingredients that work well and are beautiful to use.’
