Each kit contains organic peat-free compost; clay powder; organic Boltardy Beetroot seeds; organic Rudi Radish seeds; organic Dwarf French Bean seeds; instructions; 100% biodegradable, recycled, recyclable packaging. Suitable for ages 3+ (and adults too!).

Introduce children to growing their own vegetables with this unique, fun and simple method of making DIY Veggie Seed Bombs containing a selection of three certified-organic hardy vegetable seeds.

Children will follow simple, step-by-step instructions to make approximately 20 organic Veggie Bombs, which can be placed in pots and vegetable gardens for eating at home, or thrown in a sunny area to be left to grow alone, providing food for wild animals and insects.

The seed bomb technique comes from an ancient Japanese practice called Tsuchi Dango, meaning ‘Earth Dumpling’. This sustainable, natural way of gardening eliminates the need for chemicals and requires little to no weeding.

The seeds are contained in a protective layer of clay and nutritional compost, giving them a much greater chance of surviving and flourishing. The clay protects the seeds from harsh weather conditions and hungry insects and birds, while the soil provides organic matter and nutrients, allowing the seed bombs to grow almost anywhere.
