GO! Organic Festival 2018

From artisan breads, vegan wines and speciality cheeses to superfood skincare and zero-waste soaps, GO! Organic Festival will showcase the sumptuous diversity that lies at the heart of the organic and sustainability movement.

Taking place at Battersea Park on 08-09 September, the festival’s 100-stand marketplace – from emerging start-ups and specialty producers to some of the best-known certified organic brands on the market – certainly have a dazzling array of choices on offer for festival-goers.

Family fun

There are plenty of activities to keep the whole family busy at GO! Organic Festival, including a raft of big names and up and coming bands on the main stage – including The Hoosiers and The Magic Numbers.

There will also be celebrity talks, a GO! Organic Beer Festival hosted by Stroud Brewery and children’s entertainers – including Mr Bloom and Andy & The Odd Socks.

Fantastic feature areas include Meet The Farmer and the Clearspring Japanese Tea Garden, Abel & Cole’s picnic area and Pukka’s handcrafted, upcycled wooden caravan.

On top of all that you can expect circus acts, free fair rides, a children’s mini farm, hands-on workshops, bug hunts, Honest Organic’s Eco Art Camp, kids’ orchard PYO and more.

Organic food highlights

Happy Butter Ghee is introducing its new smaller 150g jar sizes of Organic Ghee and Golden Turmeric Ghee. Winner of a Great Taste award, these handy sizes are ideal for camping and are available to sample on the stand (stand 735).

Luscious is launching its new seasonal ice cream Winter Spiced Orange (500ml tubs). Flavoured with the finest organic orange oil and spices, this rich, luxury ice cream tastes like ‘Christmas-in-a-pot’. Also launching: new organic fresh custards in vanilla and chocolate flavours, in 500ml pots (chalet A5).

Local organic box delivery service Greener Greens is introducing its new GreenPack boxes which are ethically sound, environmentally friendly and biodegradable inside and out – everything from the compostable stickers to biodegradable bags are made from potato starch. Even the ink on the boxes is screen printed using natural inks (stand 733).

Divine Organic is introducing its new organic high cocoa rich and dark range, featuring fabulous feel good flavours and cocoa sourced from São Tomé, West Africa. The range of 85% cocoa flavours include refreshing lemon, ginger & turmeric, blueberry and popped quinoa and cocoa nibs, alongside a 95% exceptionally rich dark chocolate (stand 630).

Become a master chocolatier with Cocoa Loco‘s new Chocolate Lolly Making Kit and Dark Chocolate Truffle Making Kit. Both kits include everything you need to make scrumptious, silky smooth chocolate goodies. The kits are Fairtrade certified and organic (stand 234).

Alara is promoting its new Fruits and Seeds Muesli in its first rebranded compostable film bag. The empty bag will turn to soil within three months in a cold compost heap, helping the cause to reduce plastic consumption. The organic muesli is a beautiful blend of oats, rye, barley, juice sultanas, apricots and four seeds (stand 342).

Godminster is offering a treat for cheese lovers with its brand-new Star Vintage Organic Cheddar. The 200g Star truckle in Godminster’s iconic burgundy wax is deliciously creamy in texture with a rich depth of flavour. It makes the perfect addition to any cheeseboard or a thoughtful gift for someone special (stand 530).

Biona is presenting its amazing selection of organic food and drink including refreshing kombucha and delicious vegan burgers – including black bean and cashew nut burgers (chalet A8).

Clearspring is presenting its new organic Seaveg Crispie flavours. These light, thin and crispy toasted nori sea vegetable snacks are now available in Zingy Ginger and Aromatic Turmeric (stand 430).

Dr. Bronner, the USA’s No. 1 selling natural soap and skincare brand, is promoting the launch of its first food product – organic Virgin Coconut Oil, which can be used for stir-frying, sauces, baking and body care. Children and families can also come along to the stand to have their face painted or see a Bubbleologist create magical soap bubble shapes (stand B2).

Organic drinks highlights

The Organic Spirits Co is launching its new Papagayo Reserva Organic Golden Rum, matured for a year in organic sweet white wine casks. This delicious, rounded flavoured rum is available in 700ml @40%, RRP of £35.00 (stand 731a).

Pull The Cork is launching its vegan Filas White 3L wine from Encostas D’Aire. Acclaimed as a ‘sophisticated bag in box’ and made from Siria and Fernão Pires grapes, it’s light, easy-drinking, well balanced and offers great value for money (stand T3A).

Vintage Roots is offering a range of organic wines and drinks to try and buy at the festival. In a special tasting session, festival-goers can try prosecco, natural sparkling rosé, sauvignon blanc, alcohol-free drinks and much more (stand 731b).

Freedom Brewery is proudly offering their Helles Organic Lager at GO! Organic. Made with spring water and matured for at least 28 days, it’s naturally carbonated, unpasteurised and cold filtered. You can enjoy a crisp, balanced pint, or take home a gift pack (chalet A1).

Neat Organic is launching its range of organic, fresh produce and juices in 100% recyclable packaging. These cold pressed vegetable juices are available in organic carrot or organic beetroot with no added sugars. Pack sizes are tailored for today’s way of living, with two portions (250ml bottles) in each pack (stand 740).

Bio-tiful Dairy‘s range includes Kefir, a delicious 2000-year-old cultured milk drink, and Kefir-Quark, the world’s first combination of Kefir and high-protein Quark. The award-winning products are made with the highest quality natural ingredients, packed with gut-friendly bacteria and are taken to help boost digestion, immunity and energy levels (stand 520).

SugaVida’s Great Taste award-winning Turmeric Lattes are available to try and buy in Original, Cardamom and Spicy Ginger 80g packs (with 8g single serving sachets coming soon). These B vitamin rich elixirs contain a fusion of the highest grade turmeric, organic black pepper and SugaVida’s nutritious natural sweetener (stand B5C).

Organic beauty highlights

Enchanted Plants is launching organic ‘on a rope’ shower soap. This zero-waste product helps to combat the global problem of plastic waste. The Autumn soaps are handmade in Dorset with Cornish seaweed, rosemary and spinach and are wrapped in 100% recycled paper packaging. The soaps have an organic cotton rope so you can easily hang it on a hook or over the shower tap (stand T9B).

Green People is introducing natural and organic starter packs for keen festival-goers making an introduction to organic living. These include Holiday Sun Starter Pack; Daily Essentials Skincare Starter Pack; Superfood Starter Pack; Nightly Ritual and a Sensitive Skin Starter Pack (stand 840).

Nathalie Bond is promoting its new concentrated blend of luxurious botanical oils including boabab and argan, formulated to deeply hydrate skin leaving it luminous and radiant. This easily absorbed facial oil helps minimise the appearance of fine lines and leaves skin feeling softer and smoother (stand T9A).

Organic health highlights

Neal’s Yard Remedies Organic is promoting its recently launched Frankincense Intense Lift Eye Cream, which after using, 71% of women agreed their eye area was visibly lifted. NYRO will also be sampling their natural and organic skincare with free hand massages (stand 938).

The YES YES Company is presenting its YES BABY Conception-Friendly Lubricant System, a two-step solution for women trying to conceive. The sperm-friendly lubricant (Yes Baby SF) is designed to match the pH of semen during the fertile period, while the vagina-friendly lubricant (Yes Baby VF) helps to restore the acidic vaginal pH after the fertile period (stand 730).

Dragonfly Biosciences is promoting 10% Premium CBD Oil, created from 100% organic hemp plants. Made with a natural manufacturing extraction process in laboratory facilities, the 10% Premium CBD Oil includes high levels of Cannabidiol without losing the essential Terpenes and other beneficial traces of Cannabinoids (stand 930).

Primal Alchemy is promoting its Soil Association certified Vitruvian protein powder, an organic whey protein and superfood blend flavoured with raw cacao and forged with powerful adaptogenic and nootropic herbs. Ideal for physical, mental and spiritual optimisation (stand 908).

Organii, Organyc and Lavera is offering 3 for 2 on a selection of amazing natural and organic skincare and feminine hygiene products. Organyc is showcasing its new and improved Organyc Compact Applicator Tampons, made with 100% biodegradable, patented, recyclable bio-plastic based applicator (stand 940).

Organic fashion highlights

USCH is releasing the King Prawn – an organic and ethical sweater with a hand-embroidered design made with removable epaulettes details on the shoulders. The Prawn, The Ants, The Eyes Eyes Baby sweaters and a range of upcycled vintage furniture will be on show (stand B3B).

People Tree is presenting its 100% organic cotton ‘Be Happy’ print T-shirts. People Tree work with Fairtrade ethical producers from across the globe to create striking designs and are Soil Association certified. Festival-goers can also receive a 20% discount for the entire weekend (stand 732).

Greenfibres is presenting its new 100% GOTS certified organic cotton T-shirts with fun and unique watercolour style designs. These T-shirts are made using high quality slub yarn giving a super-soft jersey feel and an attractive yarn effect. Available in a range of sizes for adults (stand 334).

Organic home highlights

GoodToBee is presenting its unique pre-made sandwich and snack beeswax bags. Easy to use, fun and great in the fridge for cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, herbs and lots more as a sustainable alternative to cling film. A pack contains two different size bags (stand 832).

Greenscents is showcasing its premium British range of laundry and household products, including the new All-Purpose Castile Soap in two fragrances – Lavender and Minty. This multi-use product can be used to wash laundry, brush teeth and wash up, and contains 96% organic ingredients and no palm oil (stand 438).

Sleep Organic, a new ethical online business, is exclusively offering the finest quality organic and Fairtrade cotton bed linen, including original and unique designs created by local artists. The latest additions are the lovingly created cat and dog embroidered duvet sets (stand 130).

With the goal of bringing beautiful crop botanicals into everyday living, Botanique + Rye is promoting its bespoke, sustainable and luxury homeware and gifts. These hand-drawn creations include recycled glass coasters and crystal drinkware glasses (stand E3).
