Throughout April 2023, International Tree Foundation (ITF) will collaborate with PayPal and Earthday.org (EDO), coinciding with Earth Day 2023 on 22 April.
At checkout, PayPal UK customers will have the option to donate to ITF while PayPal US customers are able to donate to EDO.
The collaboration will extend beyond the checkout; ITF and EDO are involved in PayPal employee engagement, which will include tree planting days in the UK and US.
The work will raise funds and awareness for ITF, the world’s oldest tree-planting organisation. For 100 years, ITF has partnered with local communities around the world to plant, protect and promote trees and transform landscapes and lives.
‘As a part of our 2023 Earth Day theme, Invest in Our Planet, we are excited to work with PayPal and International Tree Foundation to support reforestation and conservation efforts globally to combat humanity’s greatest threat, climate change.’
TOM COSGROVE
Chief creative and content officer, Earthday.org
International Tree Foundation works in partnership with communities across Africa and the UK to protect and conserve threatened forests, improve fragile ecosystems and transform livelihoods through planting trees.
It works with local communities to restore degraded landscapes and ensure that people at the forefront of the climate crisis have access to vital resources as well as the capacity to create sustainable livelihoods that enhance their wellbeing.
‘We are delighted to partner with PayPal and really appreciate the commitment of PayPal staff and customers. This will make a concrete difference to our community-led projects and to tackling climate change. Having just returned from Uganda, I have seen the very real difference our projects and partners are making on the ground.’

ITF CEO
