Many of our supporters contributed to the My Green Pod crowdfunder campaign to create an online marketplace that would help to democratise ethical products by making them more affordable and accessible.
With your help, we did it! On 25 November 2019 we successfully passed our target and raised £14,143. Huge thanks to everyone who helped make this happen.
Since then we’ve been busy pulling together a range of fantastic products that ethical businesses can sell and ship directly to you – cutting out the middleman to make sure everyone gets a fair deal.
There are some great discounts that ethical suppliers are able to offer directly to our readers.
Organic hair pioneer Tabitha James Kraan is offering buy one get one free buy-one-get-one-free for her My Green Pod Hero shampoo and conditioner.
Award-winning Shui Me is offering its My Green Pod Hero – organic aromatherapy reed diffusers – plus lots more at hugely discounted rates to help support wellbeing during lockdown.
With every Pure Lakes order, no matter how small, the natural skincare company will donate one of its My Green Pod Hero Hydrating Hand Balms to the NHS.
For every transaction made on the My Green Pod Marketplace we’ll plant a tree in the tropics as a thank you, through our charity partner TreeSisters.
If you don’t want or need anything, you could always just plant a tree instead!
With the first 50 transactions we’ll also send out a lucky dip incognito® product as a welcome gift.
Support during the coronavirus
We’re lucky in that we have a family business that we can operate from home, but we know many of you will be in a very different position.
To help ease the pressure, we’re offering everyone a discount of 20% off all full-priced products across our entire Marketplace this month with code April20.
These are strange times but we will get through them. As we slow down we can reflect on the kind of future we want, cherish the beauty of humanity at its best and commit to making a clean break from the cultures, habits and routines that cause more harm than good.
Stay safe and stay kind.
