Tideford bags a BOOM award

Tideford Organic wins ‘Specialist Diet Product’ at Soil Association’s BOOM Awards

Tideford Organic’s Beetroot & Pomegranate Soup has won ‘Specialist Diet Product’ at the Soil Association’s annual BOOM Awards in London. The Devon company was also runner-up in the overall Pantry Category.

With nearly 500 award entries it was a tough competition, with Tideford up against some of Britain’s most iconic organic brands.

A healthy twist on one of our favourites, Tideford’s Beetroot & Pomegranate Soup tastes every bit as vibrant as it looks.

Healthy and delicious with the perfect amount of natural sweetness and tang, it brings together two ingredients packed with antioxidants that just want to do you some good.

The soup is gluten free, wheat free, low in salt, low in sugar and suitable for vegans, vegetarians and coeliacs.

A growing market

The UK organic market is in its third year of consecutive growth and is set to break the £2 billion threshold very soon. Tideford promises there are ‘many changes afoot’ at the company as it keeps pace with the growth in the organic and gluten-free markets.

The BOOM Awards (Best of Organic Market) are hosted by the Soil Association and celebrate the people and businesses – from farmers to caterers and brands – working so hard to make a difference and change our food system for the better.

The awards ceremony took place on 11 May 2016, at Borough Market Hall, London. The judges of the Specialist Diet Product Award were Sally Morgan, Editor of Soil Association Organic Farming Magazine; Geetie Singh, owner of The Duke of Cambridge pub and Xanthe Clay, food columnist at The Telegraph.


‘We believe that delicious, healthy food can only be made with organic ingredients which are farmed responsibly, with no artificial pesticides or fertilisers.

‘Colours and flavours come from using our wonderful organic vegetables, herbs and spices and cooking slowly like you would at home. We don’t add anything that you wouldn’t find in your kitchen cupboard.’


All Tideford products are Soil Association accredited, organic, gluten free, wheat free and many are low salt, low fat, vegetarian and vegan. All products except for the porridges are suitable for coeliacs.

All soup flavours are available in 600g pots (£2.89), and a selection of the most popular flavours is available in 300g (£1.99) format. Both can be found in the chilled aisle at selected retailers across the UK.
