The UK’s first ‘Climate Positive’ cocktail bar will feature at the Cocktails In The City event in London’s Bedford Square Gardens on 23 and 24 July.
The cocktail bar is the result of a partnership between My Green Pod Here and P.E.A. Award winner Avallen, likeminded Nàdar and pioneering farm-to-table venue Terroir Tapas.
Avallen and Nàdar are both climate-positive spirits; with the expertise of the team at Terroir Tapas, they will be creating a series of delicious cocktails that are climate positive, using waste and off-cut ingredients.
Every bottle of Avallen Calvados actively removes 2.73kg of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere – the equivalent of driving 21km or 13 miles in an average car.
Nàdar, which removes 1.54 kg CO2e per 700ml bottle, shares Avallen’s mission of fighting the biggest challenges humankind has ever faced: climate change and biodiversity loss.
It was a natural connection for the brands to partner with Terroir Tapas, an eco-aware global tapas that works to eliminate waste, chemicals and unnecessary carbon trails.
It’s all about preserving and enhancing what we have on Earth – a mission that will be showcased via the cocktail creations available at the Cocktails in the City pop-up.
‘We’re so excited for the opening of the UK’s first climate positive bar. Nàdar and Terroir Tapas are the perfect partners to help us drive sustainable change in the industry, one delicious sip at a time!’

The event will also see Avallen debut the ecoSPIRITS low-carbon, low-waste packaging technology in the UK, truly showcasing the sustainable solutions available in the drinks industry.
Developed to help contribute to a sustainable future by ending single-use glass in the spirits industry, ecoSPIRITS has developed the patent-pending ecoTOTE, a fully reusable, tamper-proof and shock-proof 4.5l glass vessel that replaces the standard six-bottle case of spirits and eliminates nearly all packaging waste.
