Until recently, it was inconceivable that a kitchen might, after several years of use, be dismantled and re-installed in a different home. Thanks to TUKC’s sustainable business idea, this is now a reality.
Looeeze Grossman created The Used Kitchen Company, which is now the largest online marketplace for used and ex-display kitchens. The team works closely with buyers and sellers to coordinate the sale of kitchens from private homes and showrooms across the UK.
The Used Kitchen Company has saved thousands of tonnes of kitchens from landfill and brought affordability to an often inaccessible kitchen market. Many of the designer kitchens listed sell for a fraction of their retail price (up to 70% off).
Those embarking on kitchen renovations have also benefited from selling their old kitchens and getting some cash to put towards their home improvements.
The Used Kitchen Company has hundreds of used and ex-display kitchens for sale at any one time. Its ever-expanding collection includes kitchens from designer brands such as Bulthaup and Poggenpohl.
Contrary to popular belief, many of its used kitchens are only a couple of years old and most of its ex-display kitchens have never been used at all. These kitchens sell for less than half of their retail value and can often be added to and reconfigured to fit your kitchen space.
The Used Kitchen Company has built a reputation for the level of care it takes in recycling kitchens and for ensuring that the process of buying a kitchen is ‘no more hassle than buying a phone’. Its team of experts works closely with a number of specialist fitters to ensure that everyone receives a premier service, from start to finish.
It has also successfully launched SOMETHING ELSE FOR SALE on its website, where you can find non-kitchen high-end and ex-display items including bedrooms, bathrooms, dining and living room furniture as well as lighting.
With its easy-to-remember motto of ‘Skip the Skip’, The Used Kitchen Company is engaging with more consumers than ever before, ensuring that one of the main beneficiaries of its brilliant business idea is the environment.
